Core engine rebuilt with original Turbo 3.6 internals, ARP fasteners, reworked cylinder heads, and upgraded camshafts.
Converted to Twin Turbo using a combination of 993 Turbo and custom components.
Original CIS injection replaced with modern MoTeC M8000 engine management incorporating twin-plug direct-fire ignition and integrated boost mapping.
Resulting performance, measured at the flywheel on a certified engine dynamometer:
* 520hp/420tq at 0.7bar (original 1994 Turbo 3.6 boost level, at which it made 355hp/380tq with CIS injection),
* 620hp/515tq at 1.0bar
* over 700hp/600tq at 1.25bar
This from a fresh engine with only a few hours operating time on the engine dyno! After a period of thorough and careful engine break-in, and subsequent fine-tuning of the ECU, the car has developed over 645rwhp (power measured at the rear wheels).
This is a true daily-driver car complete with air conditioning and heat. There is no "turbo lag" -- only a lack of traction. It can effortlessly break the factory 285/30-18 tires free if given full throttle in 4th gear while cruising at 80+mph!
