Core 964 engine used as foundation for solid 3.8L Twin turbo daily driver. Rebuilt with upgraded internals, ARP fasteners, 3.8L pistons & cylinders, upgraded cylinder heads, GT2 Evo cams.
Converted to Twin Turbo using combination of 993 Turbo and custom components.
Original Bosch Motronic electronic injection replaced with fully programmable MoTeC M48Pro engine management incorporating twin-plug CD ignition and integrated boost mapping.
Resulting performance, measured at the flywheel on a certified engine dynamometer:
* 435hp/404tq at 0.43bar ,
* 492hp/461tq at 0.61bar ,
* over 670hp/624tq at 1.25bar
This from a fresh engine with only a few hours operating time on the engine dyno!
Engine drained after dyno testing, crated and shipped overseas to client in Israel for local installation.
This is another real daily-driver car complete with air conditioning. The custom Garrett GT turbos and programmable engine management insure there is no "turbo lag," only a phenomenally broad powerband to play with!
The vehicle has recently been upgraded further with:
* TurboKraft Motorsports Intercooler -- 110% larger than 993T intercooler,
* manifold resonance valve -- controlled by the Motec ECU to boost midrange torque,
* larger throttle body,
* larger mandrel-bent fresh air pipes to the turbochargers, and
* integral EGT mapping.
